The world temporarily ended today.
My sister called the bridesmaid’s dress store (FASHION CORNER in SUNNYSIDE, WA) to see if they had the dresses, if the owner was back and if she had opened the box. Their reply: Yes, the owner’s back but she doesn’t have time to open the boxes. She won’t have time today or tomorrow, but maybe Monday.
No, apparently opening a box is just too much work.
But all the bridesmaids called and complained and, about 3 p.m. today, I got a call from an enthusiastic sales person telling me my dresses were in.
Yay! I replied back even more enthusiastically how happy I was and how much I appreciated her calling me. It’s not the sales person’s fault they work for that…thing (I cannot call her a lady because a lady would not have such revolting behavior to a customer that has bought nearly $1,000 in dresses at her store).
My guess is the owner weighed the amount of time it would take to open a box against the amount of her sales peoples’ time was being taken up by answering calls from my wedding party and explaining the absurd situation. Also, it probably doesn’t look to good to say “the owner doesn’t have time to open the box” in front of potential customers.
She made the time. Hooray for me!
I hope the girls get their dresses tomorrow before the bachelorette party so I can check them out!
