I think I should do a timeline to recap.
Feb 15 - Bridesmaid's dresses ordered.
End of March - First bridesmaid's dress (from a dif company) comes in, but store made an oversight and didn't mark down the accent color. I get in fight with store, report them to BBB even though I still have four more dresses coming in. Yes, I am THAT stupid.
May-June - Store keeps saying "dresses will be in next week"
June 9 - Dresses arrive at store, but owner is out with an illness. Boxes can only be opened by owner.
June 13 - Owner back, but says she will not have time to open boxes. Three angry wedding party members call. Sales girl calls back and happily informs us that the boxes are open and our dresses are here!
June 14 - We pick up two of the dresses. One of them is right. One of them is in the right color, right size, but NOT AT ALL the right style. Store double checks order. Alfred Angelo sent the wrong dress. In front of me and THREE other people the sale girl says "We will call and have it overnighted, it will be here next Tuesday."
June 17 - I call. No, they have the dress rush shipped and it will be here July 5 (they tell the BM July 8 but I think they were factoring in the holiday). I say that we have to make alterations. Store owner says she will call Alfred Angelo and see if they can rush it. I asked WHY I was told next Tuesday and she said that one of the dresses (the one for the girl was not there) had not arrived yet and that was on the one they were talking about. Uhh they never said one was not their yet, and obviously they did not know hers had not arrived. They did not even mention this other dress. Why would they have given me a Tuesday ship date for a dress we weren't even talking about that day? ALSO, some sales person at the store told the BM (when she called and got the July 8 arrival date) that she could have it sooner, but she'd have to pay. Owner told me that she would try to call AA to see if they would ship it faster
June 19 - I e-mail Alfred Angelo and explained the dilemma. I said, "If Alfred Angelo screwed up the dress, we should be receiving a new dress as soon as possible. We should not have to pay for faster shipping" I call back to Fashion Corner and owner said she has not been able to get any definite answers from Alfred Angelo on faster shipping. She said she should know something on Tuesday.
June 20 - They email back and ask me the style number. I give it to them.
June 24 - AA calls me this morning and prettymuch doesn't acknowledge anything I've bothered typing up in the e-mail. They ask for the dress style (which I already told them) and when I said I didn't have it they asked me to look in MY email to see if I had sent it. Uhm, no. You should have the e-mails. You obviously got my number from them. I look it up on the web site and give it to them. Then they say, "Well, if it's the store's fault that they screwed up, they might be trying to compensate for their cost to rush ship it by charging you and not telling you." She doesn't act like this is a big deal. I'm like, "OKAY they said they called AA and AA said THEY screwed up and sent the WRONG dress and they were sending us a new one. SO WHY IS THE STORE ASKING US TO PAY MORE TO HAVE IT HERE SOONER?" She said she would look into it and either she or Fashion Corner (likely Fashion Corner) will get back to me. Which prettymuch means they will not. I am so frustrated. Half of me believes that this dress will never get here.
